    Default Tailgate meeting

    Hi people,

Could you please help me in order to translate into Spanish the term "Tailgate meeting"?

Actually it is inside one Employee Handbook, in the Security Section, and "Safe Practices" section.

    Thank you in advance,

    Jack

    Post tailgate

Hey, Jack, let´s see if I can help you out. I´ve found some links about tailgate meetings in English and some possible solutions proposed at Proz. Here are the links:

Well, that´s all I´ve got for now, apparently it could be something kind of bland like "reuniones (informales) de seguridad" or something like that.

Let us know what you decided.

    Good luck!
    Marcela

Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary defines tailgate, among others, as a style of playing trombone, especially in Dixieland jazz, distinguished especially by the use of melodic counterpoint and long glissandi, so called from the usual seat of trombonists in trucks carrying musicians during a parade. Does this fit in your context?

I guess you have found a good translation by now.

    So long

    Eulalia
