    Hello everyone!
I'm working on a file about the kinase enzyme, and I've seen it translated both as "cinasa", and "kinasa".
The word "cinasa" sounds funny, but then I remembered the word "kinetic energy" translates as "energía cinética" and cinasa makes sense.
I wonder which one is most neutral term?

    Hi Verónica:

Cinasa should be OK. That spelling is also used when the word 'kin' is used as a suffix: e.g. fibrocinasa, galactocinasa, estreptocinasa, trombocinasa, etc.

    Good luck
