    Lightbulb "Bad" medical translation?

    Hi!

I am new member of the forum who studies translation and interpreting. At the moment, I'm doing a contrastive work between the English and Spanish medical language and I was wondering if any of you know about a text or a place in the web in which I can find a source medical text in English and its corresponding "bad" translation into Spanish. I really need an example of a really bad medical translation. I would be grateful if anyone could help me...

    Thanks a lot!

    Liz

Hello Liz and welcome to the forum!
I do not know of any particular site with a bad medical translation but if you find none, you can try using any on-line translating software to translate any medical record and use the translation as an example. It will be a bad translation all right.
Of course, if you must offer a reference to the site, then, I suggest you keep looking, or perhaps somebody will come up with something.

    Hi again,
I ran into this site which seems to be Eng/Spanish, so I suggest you take a look and evaluate if there are bad translations. I already noticed a a sentence (not medical-related) that was not correctly translated, so perhaps you will get lucky here.
