Ustedes creen que palabras como "brief", "draft", "layout" y tantas otras que utilizamos a diario en ingl�s, deber�amos utilizarlas traducidas? creen que estas cosas son las que desvirtuan el idioma? o por el contrario estamos cada vez mas cerca de hablar un lenguaje globalizado?
A veces estos t�rminos son mas precisos en su idioma de origen...
Bueno, no se, creo que busco la opini�n de los que est�n en el tema...

HI Marisa! We all know there are certain fields which are so influenced by the English language that they have adopted some English words, such as those you mention. The thing is: nobody worries about it as long as they can understand what they are talking about, and for that reason nobody is concerned about losing our Spanish language.
It is a difficult question, quite controversial I might say, but this opinion is very personal.
I'm on the side of keeping our Spanish as long as we can, and not let it be influenced by English terms.

I think it's ok to keep some English terms, specially if we don't have a word, like it happens with IT terminology. The mouse was born a "mouse" and not "rat�n". It's like "e-mail", and "correo electr�nico". We adopted the English because it was the only word. I don't think it's wrong.
After some time a Spanish word appeared, but it's hard to erase the old one from people�s minds.

What I think is ridiculous is to use the English word, but writen in Spanish, like "su�ter" or "s�nguche", what is that?

Hi there...

Honestly, I'd like to preserve our language as much as we could.
On this matter, I really appreciate the Spanish (from Spain) way: Mouse>rat�n, PC>Ordenador, etc, etc.

i.e: Spanish language is actually rich and I don't like to "kill" our origins by adopting English words.

I agree with Jack. We should try as much as possible to use spanish words. They exist, why not use them to preserve the language. At least the written words.

On the other hand, the reality of the spoken word is that people on the streets for some reason find it easier to incorporate english words to the everyday vocabulary. Just a fact of life specially in South Florida.

El idioma espa�ol puede adoptar palabras de otros idiomas cuando no existe la posibilidad de describir la idea con los t�rminos existentes, tal es el caso de software, copiado tal cual, pero tambi�n de palabras como esnob, que se han hispanizado para facilitar su pronunciaci�n.

Muchos t�rminos en ingl�s se utilizan en un principio, como una especie de moda o mientras no exista un t�rmino en espa�ol. Algunos de ellos perduran, pero otros desaparecen al encontrar una palabra adecuada en nuestro idioma.

En una conversaci�n o una interpretaci�n de una conferencia, el oyente se preocupa menos por las palabras y m�s por las ideas. Sin embargo, en una traducci�n, las palabras quedan escritas, a la vista de los lectores de diversos lugares y �pocas, por eso es necesario utilizar el t�rmino en espa�ol, en caso de existir.
