Hola!
Yo prefiero mercadotecnia, aunque es cierto que acá en Argentina se usa más marketing.
Pero sería mejor traducir siempre que fuera posible, ¿no es cierto?
Por lo menos yo prefiero traducir o acuñar una nueva palabra en castellano.

Mirá la verdad es que digo sánguche, y probablemente vos también, no?
Si tu pregunta va para ese lado, me pareció que en realidad era retórica:
Yo me refería a cuando no hay una palabra completamente instalada, que no es el caso de marketing, que sí está instalada, mayormente. He escuchado y leído mercadeo y mercadotecnia en traducciones rioplatenses.
Me parece que los traductores tenemos que hacer eso, justamente, traducir, sin hacer una cruzada a muerte de la traducción, claro. Hay cosas instaladas o difíciles de traducir, o que traduciéndolas quedan poco económicas, bueno, vos ya lo sabés. Entonces sí quedaría el término en el idioma fuente. Pero yo prefiero traducir.
O en todo caso, localizar, como "chatear" o "sánguche" o tantas otras.

Hola Caro! todo aclarado. Tal como dijiste "marketing" es una palabra instalada... entonces ¿por qué traducirla?

jaja me causó gracia lo de sánguche, lo mío es peor, le digo "sámpite" como decía mi nena cuando no le salía!!!

Si, es cierto, Mer. Pasa que a veces me da bronca que las palabras inglesas se instalen con tanta facilidad. Al final dije que no, pero parece que me gustaría hacer una cruzada para traducir TODO!, jejeje

The most common translated term I've found for "marketting" so far, is "mercadeo". Although, needless to say, "comercialización" is also quite accepted.
