    Default Acta de nacimiento

Does anyone know the meanings of the abbreviations below? They are on my Grandfather's Mexican birth certificate. He was born in 1885.
    A.P.: and A.M.: and CC.
The above abbreviations are in the following context:

A.P.: Domingo y Eduwiges Esparza. A.M.: Gerardo y Victoriana Moreno. Testigos: CC.

    Thank you!

I'm not entirely sure but from what I can understand, "AP" stands for "Abuelos Paternos" and "AM" for "Abuelos Maternos"...
I can't help you with CC though, I have no idea what that is! :S

    Hope it helps!

Since it is cc. it probably means a plural word such as 'compadres'.

In my experience translating many 100s of Mexican birth certificates, CC stands for citizens (and is commonly used). Never translated such an old birth cert though--only translated post-Mexican Revolution, but think that's the meaning of CC on yours as well.
