    Default Appellate ruling? Legal brief?

How do you say these two terms (in bold) in Spanish?
"Meanwhile, pro-family legal groups are asking the court not to take the case. That would allow the appellate ruling to stand. According to The San Francisco Chronicle, in a legal brief Liberty Counsel asserted that..."

    Default Legal terms

    Hi, there.

    Hope this helps!!

    Default Pelican Brief...

And talking about "brief" in the legal world...how would you translate the name of this novel, "Pelican Brief"...I think there was a film as well based on this book, but the name was completely changed...Any suggestions?

    Default Pelican Brief

I do remember this film perfectly well, especially because Denzel Washington was the main actor ( ).

I agree with the marketing experts, I think that considering the plot of this film, the best translation is "Informe Pelícano".
