¡Hola!
¿Cómo se traduce "place and stead" en un documento legal que trata sobre las acciones de una empresa? La frase es: "to act jointly and/or individually as its true and lawful attorney, for it and in its name, place and stead" Creo que place and stead se trata de un doblete, por lo que se traduciría en su lugar, ¿no? ¿Alguien podría ayudarme? Estoy de acuerdo con la traduccion que sugieres "en su lugar". El ingles usado en la ultima proposicion es arcaico y redundante. El abogado, fielmente y de acuerdo a la ley, actuara, junto con otras partes, o en forma individual, hacia el mejor interes de la companhia, en nombre y lugar de esta... asi es como yo entiendo el texto. No se que piensan otros en el foro. Espero te sirva.

"to act jointly and/or individually as its true and lawful attorney, for it and in its name, place and stead"
"para actuar en forma conjunta o individual como el apoderado legítimo de la empresa, para que actúe en su nombre y representación" El it/its se refieren a la empresa. Hope it helps!

Me gustan mucho las versiones de Mercedes y David; de hacerle un cambio (innecesario) sería el siguiente:
para que de forma conjunta o individual actúen en calidad de apoderados legítimos de la empresa, en su nombre y representación. Un abrazo a todos y muchos éxitos para este 2008 Best regards
