Hi forum-ers, is there any way at all to translate this term?

I've seen it a gazillion times in English, but I live in Argentina and I know we have a special "liking" for words in English.
Do you call them commodities all over the Spanish speaking world?

como "productos básicos", aunque en Argentina se usa en la mayoría de los casas en inglés.

Qué opina el resto?

Me gustó materias primas, o quizás productor básicos, porque creo que los demás pueden ser cualquier consumible, como televisores.

Con respecto a "activos" yo tenía entendido que son bienes tangibles o intangibles que generan ganancia, como un bono que no necesariamente es consumible.

Hola!

En el centro y sur de México, no he escuchado la palabra "comodities" dentro del habla común de la gente. Y cuando he tenido que traducirla del inglés al español, el término que encuadra con mayor facilidad en casi cualquier contexto, es "mercancías".
