Poetry Translation in academic text

Hi there, I´m translating an academic article from Spanish to English. I´ve just come to a section which includes a Spanish poem, which as far as I can establish doesn´t have an official English translation. Does anybody have any tips? Should I leave the Spanish version first and then include my own translation? How do I make it clear that it is my translation? I´ve told the writer that I´m not a poetry translator and I´m reluctant to do it, but she doesn´t seem to care and wants me to translate it anyway!
