Default What does c/o stand for?

I saw this acronym in a medical letter, and don't understand what it stands for. Thanks for the help!

In the address portion of a letter c/o stands for "in care of". It means the letter will be received at the address by someone on behalf of the intended recipient.

Do you think a literal Spanish translation like "a cargo de" would be a correct translation?

I'm not sure what a native would say but I think "para" would be better. EX Dr. Juan Gomez para (entregar a) Dr. Davíd López.

Sounds good!I'll go with "para" for now. Hopefully one of our Spanish native compadres can drop his opinion. Thanks vicente
