    I guess we all agree that wether women, or men, are always right, both concepts fall under the umbrella of totalitarianism, domination and superiority.

    Poe dumb? Where? If you don't understand how everything could be solved by launching bombs, that is up to you! Just kidding hahaha~

    Estuve buscando la traducción al español y encontré el neologismo "machoexplicación". Es más, es la quinta candidata a Palabra del Año 2017 de la Fundéu (Fundación del Español Urgente). Este neologismo permite la creación de otras voces de la misma familia: machoexplicador y machoexplicar.

    ¿Qué les parece esta traducción?

    It's fun to discuss these new creations but seriously, I didn't think much of "mansplaining" and the Spanish versions are equally silly .

    It has become something of a game lately but personally, I don't think it is necessary to create a separate word for every human action.


    If one were to use these words in speech or writing the chances are that nobody would know what they meant anyway and they'd have to guess or go looking for an explanation. What's the point in that?

    Reminder, que feo que suena "machoexplicación" !! Si lo hiciera una mujer sería "hembraexplicación"? 🤢

    Parece que aún no se ha acuñado una traducción para "femsplaining". Es razonable, dado que el uso de este nuevo término es mucho menor. El término en español que has creado parece bastante apropiado, dado que hay que acoplar un término corto delante de "explicación" para que no quede una palabra extremadamente larga.

    Es cierto lo que acota Vicente. Ambos idiomas, tanto el español como el inglés, ya tienen términos aceptados para describir esta realidad. Lo que ocurre es que el idioma está "vivo" y los hablantes "crean" términos continuamente.

    Ayer, miércoles 20 de diciembre de 2017, la RAE anunció 3345 modificaciones al español en su diccionario. Entre estas modificaciones "recién salidas del horno", se encuentra la enmienda a la acepción de "chicano" como adjetivo para calificar a una persona que es de origen mexicano y vive en los Estados Unidos, especialmente en zonas fronterizas. También se aceptaron los coloquialismos "ña" y "ño" para anteponerlos a los nombres de una mujer o de un hombre (doña María o don Julio).
