Default Phrasal verbs in American/British English

Hello. I’d like to know if phrasal verbs have different meanings in British/American English frequently, or are usually equivalents. If I learn about phrasal verbs using a book based on American English, will I have problems understanding British English and vice versa?

I can't say that the phrasal verbs are exactly the same both in British English and American English. It's very difficult to say they are EXACTLY the same. They are usually equivalents. However, there might be some differences in certain phrasal verbs.
    Regards,
    R.
