Hi everybody!
I have a question: How do you change the language pair of a TM?

I need to change the pair English US-Spanish from Spain to English US-Spanish Modern Sort.

I'm afraid that each TM can only accept one pair of languages.

In this case, I think that you should create a new TM.

Hi,
there is one way you can do this. These are the steps:

- Export the TM. Now you will have a txt file
- Open this txt in Word.
- Make a search and replace changing the language settings. For example:

if you have segments like this:
<Seg L=EN-US>Network Interface Card Options:
<Seg L=ES-ES>Opciones de tarjetas de red:

... and you want now to use ES-US, make a search and replace changing "ES-ES" to "ES-US"
- After this, create a new tm now choosing the language pairs you want.
- Import the txt into the just created TM

I have used these process several times and it works properly.

For Trados, language pairs are merely tags, this is why this should work.
