I'm trying to apply perfect matches, the new Trados 2007 feature that automatically translates identical segments among different documents. Does anybody have any experience with it? Also, what's the difference between full matches and perfect matches?
Thanks! |

I thought perfect matches were full matches that appeared as already translated in gray...in this way, there wouldn't be any full matches unless you use a different memory to translate the "perfectly matched" files.
Is that correct?

I thought so too, and by being "grey" it means that they were approved by the client so not only they are a full match but also "perfect" :-)

I thought so too, but surprisingly, not all full matches become perfect matches, so I was wondering what the difference is.
