Default Trados.PowerPointFileParser

Hi everyone,

I got this error message when I tried to open a .ppt file in TagEditor:

"Failed to create file parser Trados.PowerPointFileParser"

And then it fails to open it!

Any help?

Trados 7 (Freelance) and Office 2003...
I know that this Trados version doesn't work well with Office 2007, but I'm using 2003! that's why I'm really lost here...

I don't know. I would export the text into a .txt file.

mmm...
The problem is that Trados doesn't work with txt files and, besides, I need to preserve the original .ppt format.

TagEditor opens TXT files. I would paste the text back to PP. Otherwise I would use another CAT Tool for this project. I never like to stick with just one tool.
Does your PP 2007 file contain SmartGraphics?

I could use another tool but my client requested Trados... I managed to open the file in a different computer, but I'd love to solve this problem though...

It doesn't make sense to me translation agencies requesting specific softwares... Unless they have a deal with SDL.

So, what was the error in the end??

I don´t understand why sometimes, something which you can´t solve in your PC can be done perfectly in another one?

like clean ups, analysis, etc...
