No sé cuál es el problema. Me parece que en mi Trados falta algún tipo de archivo/aplicación que interprete los archivos con formato .ppt. Me parece que voy a instalarlo de nuevo. Igual seguiré investigando...

Finalmente pude solucionar el problema. En realidad lo resolvió un técnico porque no era nada sencillo. Parece que se trataba de la falta de un componente en el registro. Lo único que sé es que descubrió el problema cuando abrió "Register SDL trados 2006" (Start>All programs>SDL International). No salía la información de registro.
