First of all I want to say hello, since I am new in the forum.
I am using TRADOS 7.0 and I have two problems I cannot overcome: 1) Whenever I want to clean or analyse a document I get the following message "Folder does not exist or was moved or renamed" - although the folder does exists and has not been moved. 2) The second one is hat when I am translating a document, I suddenly get this message:" The mark for ending a translation unit is damaged or missing" . I used to solve this using the "Fix document" command but since my PC was updated , I don't have that command available any more. Hope I have been clear enough and thank you in advance! |

Hi! I'll try to help you out.
![]() 1) You need to delete/erase the path located next to the "Log File" button in the Analyse/Clean-up window. That path may be associated to a folder that doesn't exist or was moved to another location. Problem solved! If you want to generate a new log for the current operation, you need to click on the Log File button, and then on "browse". You'll have to choose the wanted location for the log. And that's it! 2) You need to fix the missing/damaged tag by replacing it by an undamaged one: delete or cut the missing/damaged tag and copy the undamaged one at the same place. Click on "Fix document" in Trados Menu or Ctrl+Alt+U. Then click on Save. Now the problem should be solved. Good luck! |

Hi!! I agree with Nadia, I do that all the times I have a broken tag.
I copy and paste the missing tag from another segment that I know works fine.

I am not sure if Trados validate tags before cleaning up files. I haven't found it yet. It is a helpful feature that other CAT Tools have.
