Exclamation My personal battle with CAT tools

Hi everyone!
I´m just getting familiar with Wordfast and Trados. The thing is that I installed Wordfast in my brand new computer and in the beginning it worked. Then, I installed Trados 7 freelance, and neither of them work , nor can I see the Trados flagman in my Word toolbar. I was just wondering that maybe you cannot have both of them installed in the computer at the same time... or are these programs driving me insane????
Any kind of help is friendly welcome.

I don't think the problem is compatibility, they should run just fine in the same computer. You may want to reinstall them.
If you got to choose, I'd leave Trados since it supports lots of file formats.
Good luck!

Default CAT Tools

Hi Genevre, I am undecided about purchasing Wordfast or TRADOS. I know the latter is more expensive, did you purchase it at a special price. Another question, are they really compatible because I have TRADOS at work and if we are allowed to work from home I was thinking of just buying WordFast. Thanks for your help, Doris

Hi!!
I am with Nadia here, Trados is better. Of course it all depends on the kind of files that you usually translate.
Trados comes with the TagEditor application that lets you translate many more formats, specially the ones from applications that designers use, like flyers, books, manuals and anything designed in QuarkXpress, InDesign, FrameMaker...
Wordfast doesn't have this feature
