Well, even though I have a real hard time reading novels (in spite of being able to read -what most people would consider- the most unbearable essays... don't ask me why), three of my favourite novels are the following. (Who could tell if the top 3... as Borges used to say: how can we say one novel is better than another):
Julio Cortázar -Hopscotch Gabriel García Márquez -A hundred years of solitude Herman Hesse -Narcissus and Golmund |

Cien años de soledad - One hundred years of solitude... you can take it for granted...no ofense to anyone else who has posted here...
This is the masterpiece of García Márquez, can't miss it. you'll get so attached to the book that it will be impossible to do anything else until you finish it. ![]()

Cien años de soledad es un libro que me pareció excelente. También recomiendo cualquier libro de Paul Auster. Cortázar me llevó por caminos inimaginables. Y, definitivamente, recomiendo "1984" de Wells.

I don't think I could narrow it down to a "top 3," because I like different books for different reasons, but here are a few that come to mind:
Pedro Páramo- Juan Rulfo The Satanic Verses- Salman Rushdie The Great Gatsby- F. Scott Fitzgerald Cantar de mio Cid (Anonymous) The Stranger (Albert Camus) |
