If what you want to do is communicate in Cuba, you can learn Spanish here in Cuba or in another country but usually the pronunciation they teach in other countries (depending on the region, of course) is that of the Spanish from Spain.
If you know not a word of Spanish, don't try to learn morphology and syntax of the Cuban Spanish because that way you will never learn Spanish, besides, if you do some reading related to the different ways we speak in Cuba, you will know that not all the regions, and not all groups speak in the same way. But, if you speak Spanish, they will understand you and depending on the person you are going to speak, you will be able to understand too, unless they are only using slang and that, I don't even understand myself sometimes. So, not to worry, learn Spanish and you will be able to communicate here.
I have found this page with some explanation about Cuban Spanish but you should not use it in order to learn Spanish, this is just for your knowledge.
