Hi Celtic. I live in Caracas. If the death certificate in question was authenticated at the LibertadorMunicipality, your best option would be to get a certified copy from the Main Registry (Registro principal) located at the “Urdaneta Avenue”. If it belongs to the MirandaState, you would have to either get a copy at the Main Registry in Los Teques, or go to the Prefect’s office or Mayor’s Office that issued the certificate. However, if you want that copy for legalization purposes, don’t waste any time and go straight to the corresponding main registry; because those are the only copies that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Justice will accept for legalization.
