Three recommendations
I am currently reading "Kite Runner" and it is excellent. I would suggest it to anyone. Also, a few years ago I read "A Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius" and it is still one of my favorites. A third choice, and another of my top 5 is “Memoirs of a Geisha”, but please read the book before seeing the movie, it is much better!
