I agree. A living language is a entity that grows and changes. Over time forms pass from incorrect, to informal, to correct, and the language evolves to meet the new demands of modernity. We shouldn't try to stop the evolution of language anymore than we should keep our children from seeking their own destinies.

And just like with children, all the lists of rules in the world aren't going to describe what's really going on. It's important to know all the prescriptive language rules, but it's also important to embrace the descriptions of how the language really is.
