Default Re: Coal Technology Translation

The heat capacity of the coal is: 5,800 Kilocalories/kilogram (lower rank, possibly Grade C coal)

The coal has a water vapour content of 6%

Sulphur content is 1 or 2% (good for metallurgy)

Ash content is 30 or 40% (higher ash contents mean poorer quality coal)

The Union of Small and Medium Coal Producers are proposing, and you pass on their proposal to the American investors, the following alternatives; (1) The Americans become the principal owners if they agree to buy all parcels that have coal reserves in them, or (2) They can choose to buy from the Union at the best L.A.B. rate at the point of sale ("L.A.B." means “Libre a Bordo,” the American investors pay for all transportation costs), or (3) They can choose to start a joint exploitation venture with the Union with the Americans funding all operating costs including machinery upgrades.
