I wouldn't think it is desrespectful Mem. We are always discussing these nicknames that others tag us with and it generally boils down to how it is perceived by us when we are called something. As we have already learned some people are offended while others are not but Argies seems innocent enough to me because it doesn't appear to have a hidden connotation. At least none that I can imagine.
