I "googled" that phrase and the only context I found was in a book about finances and business. In that context it appears to refer to useful bits of information that a hospitality manager could "take away" from reading the book.
The term takeaways also appears in other contexts where it refers physical items you take home. For example, you might go to a conference and your "takeaways" could be a pen, a bag, and a copy of all the lecture handouts.
