Hola Linda bajo esta interpretación, la observación de Scott y Exxcentrica es correcta. Solo que a mi mente no viene un refrán existente en Español que transmita esa idea . Puedes traducir la idea con las sugerencias que te han dado, pero de verdad no conozco un refrán equivalente ...
