Default Merry Christmas, Ali

Hi Ali

I'm from Peru. I lived a few years in the US, England, and then came to Australia 26 years ago; left my country when I was 15 years old to study in New York, and I'm still Peruvian "de pura sepa". I'm married to an Australian and have two lovely Korean children, so we are a very multicultural family - which can be noticed clearly in times of the World Cup. Everybody calls me Isabel, my middle name, but my legal name is Nira. I work as a teacher of English as a second language and as interpreter for the Department of Immigration and translator for the Department of Community Relations in Sydney, Australia.

Today is Christmas here (we're 14 hours ahead of you - this is the future talking here) and we're getting ready to go to Mass, have Christmas lunch, and visit the relos (relatives: in-laws).

Have a wonderful Merry Christmas everybody. Para celebrar Navidad Latinoamericana, que mejor que un huayno cantado por los ninhos cantores de Viena y Juan Diego Florez:

Carinhos a todos mis queridos hermanos hispanohablantes.

Desde Australia,

Isabel
